Eden Prairie Promise Dashboard
The Eden Prairie Promise Performance Measurement Dashboard has been updated with 2018 data. The City's dashboard is funded through participation in the Performance Measurement Program established by the Council on Local Results and Innovation. Students on Commissions
The Council appointed 23 high school students to serve on City Commissions through the Students on Commissions program.
The following students were appointed to serve during the 2019-2020 school year:

City Government Academy Graduation
The 2nd annual Eden Prairie City Government Academy wrapped up with a graduation ceremony at the Tuesday, June 18 City Council meeting. Graduates spent six weeks learning the ins and outs of local government.
Heritage Preservation Award
At the June 18 Council meeting, Kathie Case was honored with the 2019 Heritage Preservation Award. Case is president of the Eden Prairie Historical Society and has led restoration and programming efforts at the historic Cummins-Phipps-Grill House. She has made outstanding contributions to the preservation of Eden Prairie's history and heritage resources.
Aquatics Center Dedication
On Tuesday, June 18, the aquatics facility at the Eden Prairie Community Center was dedicated as the Nancy Tyra-Lukens Aquatics Center. Tyra-Lukens was Eden Prairie's mayor during the planning, construction and opening of the Aquatics Center. Naming the facility in her honor recognizes her passion for health and wellness, and her leadership and vision that helped bring the Aquatics Center project to fruition.
Staff News
The City recently promoted Ted Vernon and Jon Thompson. Ted Vernon was promoted to facilities supervisor and has worked in the Facilities Division for nine years. Jon Thompson was promoted to senior appraiser and has worked in the Assessing Division for five years.
