City of Eden Prairie
Home MenuDrinking Water and Groundwater
Protection of our groundwater resources is important, as it is the source of the City's top-quality drinking water.
To keep consumers informed about Eden Prairie water quality and standards, the City publishes an annual drinking water report.
Additional information can be found in the Wellhead Protection Plan [PDF]. Developed in 1994, and periodically updated, this plan outlines the goals and objectives the City follows to protect our resources and maintain the drinking water standards established for Eden Prairie.
Lead and Copper Inventory
The US Environmental Protection Agency's Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) requires all public water systems with populations over 50,000 to provide an online service line materials inventory for consumers.
The Minnesota Department of Health has made statewide inventories available through a Lead Infrastructure Tracking Tool (LITT) so all systems can comply with this requirement. Not all service lines have yet been identified Eden Prairie, and the tracking tool is updated regularly as they are identified.
