There is an abundance of water resources in Eden Prairie, including 18 lakes, three major creeks, the Minnesota River and over 650 wetlands. This is in addition to more than 600 ponds, swales and raingardens built to help protect water quality.

The City is committed to protecting its water to safeguard habitat for plants and animals, ensure safe drinking water, provide recreational opportunities, and preserve the many benefits of clean surface and groundwater.
