Animal Control

The primary responsibilities of the Animal Control Unit are to maintain an environment that ensures peace and quiet in the City's neighborhoods, to protect public and private property, and to provide a safe environment for residents and pets.

The Animal Control Unit responds to nearly 2,000 calls for service each year dealing with domestic, wildlife and livestock animal issues. The team uses a combination of education and enforcement to maintain the safety of Eden Prairie residents, while encouraging enjoyable and fulfilling relationships with domestic animals.
