Citywide Open House

Get an up-close and personal look at what it takes to operate a city of nearly 65,000 residents and 3,000 businesses. Come to the City Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 to explore public safety and maintenance equipment, watch demonstrations and enjoy refreshments.

Harvest to Halloween at the Barn

There's fun for the entire family at this free event from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 at Riley Lake Park. Pumpkin decorating, treat stations, inflatables and historic home tours are just some of the activities offered. Food and beverages available for purchase from a variety of food trucks as well as beer and root beer from the Eden Prairie Lions Club. Free shuttles available from Grace Church south parking lot (9301 Eden Prairie Road). Riley Lake Park only available for drop-off, bike parking and accessible parking with a valid permit. Yard Waste Site Fall Hours

Bring your leaves and other yard waste to Eden Prairie's Yard Waste Site located at 9811 Flying Cloud Drive through Sunday, Nov. 24. Visit edenprairie.org/YardWaste for more information.

Community Photo Contest Voting

The finalists have been chosen in the City's 2024 community photo contest, and the public can now cast their votes by "liking" their favorites on the City's Facebook page. The top three photos with the most “likes” by noon Wednesday, Oct. 9 will win first, second and third place. Winners will be announced on the City's social media accounts. Vote for your favorites now!

Renewable Energy Challenge

Subscribe to a renewable energy source by Friday, Oct. 11 to help support Eden Prairie's climate action goals, and for a chance to win an e-Bike valued at $1,200.

Ways to participate:

  • Subscribe to a renewable energy program through your utility provider for a small monthly fee
  • Subscribe to a community solar garden and save up to 15% on your energy bill every month
  • Install solar panels on your home

Fire Prevention Week

Fire Prevention Week is Oct. 6 to 12 and this year's campaign is "Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!" Learn about important fire safety information at edenprairie.org/FireSafety.
