New and Updated Development Projects Maps Available
Interactive, user-friendly online maps are now available to increase public access to data about proposed, current and completed development projects in Eden Prairie. The new Development Dashboard provides statistics about development projects approved in the City since 2017, such as additions of residential units, commercial/industrial square footage and electric vehicle parking spaces. View the dashboard at edenprairie.org/DevelopmentDashboard.
The companion Development Projects map is a continually updated list of projects in all stages of the development cycle, including residential and commercial/industrial properties, and land use development applications. Details for each project are provided, such as the status, development type and contact information for both the City's project planner and the applicant, as well as site and architectural plans. View projects at edenprairie.org/DevelopmentProjects.
Fire Hydrant Maintenance
Beginning Monday, April 17, utilities crews will conduct flushing and maintenance checks on all City fire hydrants. The process is expected to take three weeks. Flushing involves opening the hydrants which removes any sediment that may have accumulated in the pipes. This annual procedure maintains water quality within the distribution system and ensures each of the City's 4,000 fire hydrants are working properly. Motorists are asked to use caution when driving in and around the sites being tested. Call the City's Utility Division at 952-949-8530 with any questions or concerns.

Metro Cities Team Up to 'Electrify Everything MN'
To connect residents with the information and resources to reduce their home energy use and move to clean and renewable energy sources, the cities of Eden Prairie, Edina, Minneapolis and St. Louis Park have launched the Electrify Everything MN awareness and education campaign. The campaign includes a series of workshops where residents can ask questions, explore high-efficiency electric heating/cooling systems and appliances, and learn how to access grants, tax credits and rebates to help pay for home energy projects.
The first round of free workshops are scheduled in May and residents can register to attend any of the workshops at ElectrifyEverythingMN.org.
