In 2018, the City of Eden Prairie completed an assessment of and developed a transition plan for making roads, sidewalks and trails more accessible, as outlined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The goal is to continue providing accessible pedestrian features as part of capital improvement projects.

The City considers and responds to all accessibility improvement requests. Accessibility improvements deemed reasonable are scheduled consistent with other transportation priorities. The City also coordinates with external agencies to ensure all new or altered pedestrian facilities within its jurisdiction are ADA-compliant.
