Our Benefits

Most employee benefits are effective on the date of hire unless otherwise noted.

New employees have 30 days from their date of hire to elect benefits. Annually, all employees are allowed to change their elections during open enrollment. Open enrollment is the one time each year to change insurance elections for the upcoming benefit plan year. The City's benefit plan year begins Jan. 1 and ends Dec. 31.

Regular full-time and regular part-time employees are eligible for the City’s benefits program. Part-time/temporary/seasonal (PTS) employees and duty crew firefighters do not qualify unless expressly noted.
