There are currently 33 properties recognized as heritage sites in Eden Prairie, and several others in the community that may meet the criteria for recognition.

• Property or structure established before 1950
• Property or structure is unique in construction, purpose or connection to a family who settled in Eden Prairie in the 19th or early 20th centuries

Heritage site nominations can be made by the property owner, or another person or agency, through the online application below.

Nominations must be supported by property owners, and participation is voluntary with no restrictions.

The Heritage Preservation Commission and its City staff liaison, in partnership with the Historical Society, coordinate the program, review applications and communicate with applicants.

Aluminum Heritage Site signs and plaques are available for purchase at the City Center.

Once approved, the property owner is responsible for purchasing and installing the sign on their property.
