Lisa Toomey was elected as a member of the Eden Prairie City Council in the 2020 election. Her current term ends Dec. 31, 2024.

Toomey has volunteered with several Eden Prairie nonprofits and civic groups for nearly 20 years, supporting and developing programs for those in need. She served as president of the Eden Prairie Crime Prevention Fund, treasurer of the PROP Shop, executive director of Meals on Wheels, and is a member of the Eden Prairie Lioness and Optimist clubs. She also served for a year on the City's Planning Commission.

Toomey earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish and business from Eastern Connecticut State University, and a graduate certificate in nonprofit management from Harvard University. She and her family have lived in Eden Prairie since 2001.
