Frank George Senkyr was born in Eden Prairie on Oct.10, 1895, to Frank Sr. and Ann Senkyr. His siblings were Annie and Steven.

Frank Jr. served with the U.S. Army in World War I assigned to the 341st Infantry Company.

He died on Oct. 26, 1918, during combat. He was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart Medals.
