Miller Park Barrier-Free Playground

Miller Park PlaygroundMiller Park Barrier-Free Playground (8208 Eden Prairie Road) features accessible pathways and surface structures, and gives non-mobile children and adults the opportunity to reach all levels of the play structure.

The design allows children with physical challenges the opportunity to play alongside their peers.

The idea for the playground was first created by Mike and Jenny Garvin, in hopes to raise funds for a park where their daughter Ashley, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, could play alongside other children her age.

With the help of friends and family, the Garvin family raised over $100,000 toward the barrier free playground, which was enough to get phase 1 under way. Order an engraved paver stone [PDF] and help with future playground improvements.
