Developmental Figure Skating and Hockey

Developmental Ice Time

All ages are welcome, but adult supervision is required for any skater under the age of 18. A helmet is required to play developmental hockey. All participants must pay at the Community Center front desk prior to skating. Times vary and are subject to change. See schedule above.

Developmental Figure Skating

Designed for figure skaters to practice their skills with or without a private lesson. Jumps, spins and programs are allowed. All private coaches must have liability insurance. See general developmental figure skating policies below.

Designed for parents and coaches to work on skills development with youth. All reservations are made through Doug Tucker.

Developmental Figure Skating Rules

General Developmental Ice Policy

All skaters (anyone taking a lesson/working on a skill) must pay before taking the ice
Skaters are required to wear a wristband, as proof of payment
Instructors do not have to pay, but instructors are entirely responsible for ensuring each of their skaters has paid each day, before taking the ice
Any skater who is on the ice and has not paid may be asked to leave the ice for the day
Instructors are subject to fines or being asked to leave for the day if their skaters are on the ice without having paid the daily developmental ice fee
Skaters may not be on the ice until the Zamboni is off the ice and the gate is shut
Skaters/coaches deemed inconsiderate of other groups will be asked to leave the ice
