Mayor Ron Case Accepts Minnesota GreenStep Cities Award from Diana McKeown, Great Plains Institute Clean Energy Team director.

The City of Eden Prairie received the
Step 5 award in the
Minnesota GreenStep Cities program at the League of Minnesota Cities annual conference in June. Eden Prairie is one of 13 cities to reach Step 5, which is the highest level of achievement in the program.
“This award is a great honor for Eden Prairie,” said Mayor Ron Case. “And by being part of the program, Eden Prairie and our peers are helping to make Minnesota more resilient for the future while also helping our cities thrive economically."
GreenStep Cities is a free continuous improvement program based on 29 best practices tailored to Minnesota cities, with a focus on cost savings, energy use reduction and civic innovation. As one of 127 participating cities and tribal nations, Eden Prairie is helping to lead the way in sustainability.
