County Accepting Good Steward Grant Applications

Hennepin County is accepting applications for Good Steward Grants to support projects, such as rain gardens that restore natural areas and reduce sediment flowing into nearby lakes and streams. Grants are available to landowners, which include individuals, government organizations, nonprofit organizations and businesses. Learn more and apply starting Nov. 5.

RTA Temporary Closure

The Richard T. Anderson Conservation Area (RTA) is temporarily closed through the end of December for a trail improvement project. The RTA West Bluff Overlook Trail Stabilization Project is focused on improving the trail leading to the river valley overlook on the western side of the conservation area. The project will prevent further erosion, protect the native forest and remnant prairie, and reduce sedimentation in the nearby stream. More information is available at edenprairie.org/ParkProjects.

Fiber-Optic Cable Projects Update

Intrepid continues to install fiber-optic cable throughout EP to provide faster internet service. This week, the company is expected to begin installation in two additional neighborhoods in southwestern Eden Prairie. The work is not being done by the City, nor does the City control the pace of installation.
