Black History Month Words in Action Contest Closes Soon

Eden Prairie K-12 students can enter the 2023 Black History Month Words in Action Contest through Monday, Feb. 6. Winners will be recognized at the Feb. 21 City Council meeting, and featured on the City's website and social media platforms. 2023 CDBG Annual Action Plan

The City is soliciting public comments on its updated Citizen Participation Plan and 2023 draft CDBG Annual Action Plan, which will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in May 2023. The plans are available for public comment for a 30-day period from Feb. 3 through March 6, 2023. Written comments can be submitted via email or U.S. mail to Jeanne Karschnia (Housing and Community Services, 8080 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie, MN 55344) through March 6 and will be included in the documents submitted to HUD. The plans can be reviewed at edenprairie.org/Community Services.

Plastic Reduction Program for Businesses

"MNimize" is a new program that recognizes and supports food service businesses in their efforts to reduce single-use plastic and achieve their sustainability goals. Participating businesses can get up to $500 toward eligible expenses to reduce single-use plastic. Learn more at MNimize.org.
